Let’s talk about the part of your period that nobody warns you about — the energy crash, the brain fog, the “why do I feel like a deflated balloon?” days.
That’s not just vibes, babe — that’s mineral loss. Your period literally drains iron, magnesium, and electrolytes as your body sheds the uterine lining and resets your hormonal system.
This tea is your answer. She's earthy, mineral-rich, and designed to rebuild what your bleed takes away.

Why this recipe is perfect during your menstrual phase:
Think of this tea like an herbal multivitamin — but gentler, warmer, and more aligned with your body’s natural rhythm. Instead of relying on coffee or sugar to feel “normal” while you bleed, we’re leaning into support, nourishment, and actual healing.
Here’s what this tea helps with:
Replenishing iron and trace minerals
Gently supporting liver detox
Boosting energy without a crash
Calming inflammation and fatigue
Encouraging hormone balance naturally
🌿 Star Ingredients & Hormonal Benefits:
Nettle Leaf – Rich in iron, magnesium, calcium, and vitamin C. Supports energy, bone health, and blood rebuilding.
Dandelion Leaf – Gentle liver support to help your body clear out old hormones and toxins.
Red Clover or Alfalfa – Packed with phytonutrients and minerals that support hormonal recalibration.
Fresh Lemon or Orange Slice – Adds vitamin C to boost iron absorption and a refreshing citrusy lift.
Optional Splash of Cranberry Juice – Extra minerals and a hint of tartness to support kidney function and hydration.
Ingredients:
1 tsp dried nettle leaf
1 tsp dandelion leaf
1 tsp red clover or alfalfa leaf
1 slice of fresh lemon or orange
1½ cups hot water
Optional: 1 tbsp unsweetened cranberry juice
Optional: Raw honey or maple syrup to taste
Instructions:
Add all dried herbs to a tea strainer, infuser, or directly into a teapot.
Pour 1½ cups of freshly boiled water over the herbs.
Add your citrus slice and optional cranberry juice.
Cover and let steep for 10–15 minutes (or simmer gently on the stove for a more mineral-rich decoction).
Strain and sweeten if desired. Sip slowly and enjoy the calm.
Bonus: Store extra tea in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat gently.

💡 Big-Sister Pro Tips:
Let it steep longer — 10 to 15 minutes minimum gets the most minerals out of the herbs. You can also simmer it for 20 minutes on the stove for a stronger brew.
Make a batch in advance — Brew 3 cups at once and store in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently when ready.
Drink daily through your bleed — Start on Day 1 and sip throughout your period to support replenishment and energy.
Your period isn’t just something to get through — it’s something to support. And this tea? She’s doing the damn thing, one sip at a time.
